Barringtons Staff Volunteer Efforts with NSW Ambulance

Rory McKenzie, Barringtons Contractor & NSW Ambulance Volunteer

Rory is one of our investigations and personnel security contractors based in Wagga Wagga.

Rory volunteers as an ambulance officer with NSW Ambulance at the Coolamon Ambulance Station. In this role he works with a paid paramedic to provide pre-hospital care within the community. Rory is one of seven volunteers working with a team of four paramedics.

His bio, written for the Queen Baton Relay in which he recently participated, illustrates how he has already packed in enough volunteering for several life times:

"Rory is an inspirational individual within the Wagga Wagga community. At age 16 he walked from Lockhart NSW to Bourke NSW, a distance of over 700 kilometres which took over a month raising money for the Fred Hollows Foundation. Rory has been a volunteer with St John Ambulance NSW for nine years, previously served in the Australian Army Reserve for five years, previous SES member, and a volunteer representative to the Australian Defence Force through Everyman's Christian Group. He is an active member in the RSL sub-branch, an active community Justice of the Peace, and an active church member. Rory has trekked the Kokoda Trail and sailed on the Young Endeavour."

A truly inspirational young man.
